Help4 VPS Service Terms
These VPS-specific service terms supplement any applicable existing Help4 Network account terms. They explain this VPS plan's resources, activation process, network limits, and acceptable use. They do not replace your existing account terms or separately agreed service arrangements.
1. Plan and activation
Help4 VPS Start is USD 25 per month for new orders. Existing customers retain their individually agreed recurring price unless a separate change is agreed.
- Processor allocation
- 2 vCPU
- Memory
- 4 GiB RAM (4096 MiB)
- Storage
- 75 GiB SSD-backed storage
- Operating system
- Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
- Network port-speed ceiling
- 100 Mbps
- Monthly data transfer
- Unlimited, subject to these use restrictions
Activation is manual. An order or payment does not itself activate a VPS. Activation remains pending until Help4 Network has qualified and reserved the network allocation and completed provisioning. Do not treat an order confirmation as confirmation that the VPS is ready to use.
2. Network limits and mail submission
Unlimited monthly data transfer does not mean unlimited speed. The VPS network port has a 100 Mbps ceiling. That ceiling is a rate limit, not a promise of constant throughput. The acceptable-use restrictions in these terms apply regardless of the amount of data transferred.
Direct outbound SMTP on TCP port 25 is blocked. Authenticated mail submission must use the approved Help4 Genie relay on TCP ports 465 or 587. Alternate outbound SMTP relays are not permitted by this VPS network policy. The availability of an approved relay does not permit spam or other abusive mail.
Do not bypass network rate limits, assigned-address controls, customer isolation, firewall rules, or mail restrictions. Normal authorized SSH administration, HTTPS/TLS, and encryption of your own application data are permitted; these are not cryptocurrency activity.
3. Prohibited workloads and services
The following are prohibited on this VPS, whether operated for yourself, for another person, or as part of a paid or free service:
- All cryptocurrency workloads, including cryptocurrency mining and cryptocurrency or blockchain nodes. Do not use the VPS for cryptocurrency compute or infrastructure.
- Tor or onion infrastructure, including relays, exit nodes, and hidden or onion services.
- Proxy, VPN, traffic-relay, anonymization, or resale services, including private or public proxy servers and VPN endpoints or tunnels. Do not operate or offer the VPS, its network connection, or its addresses as any of these services.
- Spam, phishing, malware distribution, botnets, credential theft, or other deceptive or harmful activity.
- Attacks, denial-of-service traffic, unauthorized access, unauthorized scanning, or attempts to compromise or disrupt other systems.
- Unlawful activity or use of content, software, data, or systems without the necessary rights or authorization.
Help4 Network may block prohibited traffic or restrict the affected VPS to protect the platform. Contact Support if you need a review of a restriction.
Cryptocurrency refers to cryptocurrency workloads and services, not ordinary cryptography. Authorized SSH, HTTPS/TLS, password hashing, and encryption used to administer or secure your legitimate application are not prohibited by the cryptocurrency restriction.
4. Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for the lawful and authorized use of your VPS and for the activity of anyone you allow to access it. Keep your operating system and applications patched, secure your credentials and access, maintain the licenses and permissions needed for your software and content, and keep appropriate backups of your data.
Use only your assigned network allocation. Do not interfere with other customers, circumvent isolation, or try to disable platform safety controls. Contact Help4 Network Support if you believe your VPS is compromised or if an intended configuration conflicts with a network or service restriction.
This service description does not add a backup guarantee, service-level agreement, refund promise, or other entitlement not set out in your existing account terms or a separately agreed service arrangement.
5. Beta VPS control panel
The Help4 VPS control plugin is in active beta testing. Customer power and password controls are restricted to the customer's own service and mapped VPS.
If a command fails, behaves unexpectedly, or anything looks wrong, do not keep retrying it. Contact Help4 Network Support promptly with the command, error, and approximate time. Do not include passwords, access tokens, or other secrets in an ordinary support message.
